Richard Salazar is a Native American story teller. Richard brings Native presentations to schools, colleges and historical sites. The presentation entitled "Songs, Tales, and Myths of the Iroquois" are related as stories that will include creation myths, history, and Iroquois songs. There will be audience participation in a song and dance taught and displayed by Richard Salazar. These presentations can be tailored to fit any age group. Dressed in Native American time period clothing Richard brings alive the feelings and culture of the Native American people. Discussions of all tribal and time periods are available.
Richard Salazar is a supplier of Native American time period clothing, crafts, weapons, movie props or material culture for Museums, Historical displays, Western memorabilia native reproductions, window box displays, wall hangings etc. Richard also is a master Native American craftsman. He builds museum exhibits, repairs and reproduces artifacts for museums or for purchase. He is a champion Powwow dancer. Richard has appeared as an actor or as a consultant for historical documentaries for the History Channel, Discovery, EWTN, Turner, and PBS.
Richard is available for historical presentations, and is BOCES - New York State Arts and Education Grant certified.
